Winter bouquets of velvet flowers...

It's been wintry and grey this week... misty mornings and blustery afternoons. Real Winnie the Pooh weather... perfect for drinking cups of tea, eating toast with butter and honey, and wearing socks on your hands as well as your feet to keep warm! It's been too cold and wet to venture into the garden.. so we've been playing with our darling velvet flowers indoors... creating little bouquets with soft velvet bows... and sprinkles of lace... while loving the sound of the wind against the windows and day dreaming of tea parties in Spring!

A feast for the eyes....

Miss Rose Sister Violet now have a living, breathing inspiration board.... on Pinterest!

We have started our pinterest page and have fallen in love with our new home! We have such a growing collection of photos we take, and photos we find... and it's so exciting to have a cosy little home for them all to live in. We love sharing all we do and find, and think Pinterest is a great site to share such creative inspiration. We hope you enjoy our new adventure... and join us as we grow our collection and pin to our heart's content!

tea cups and tea parties....

We've just finished some more of our pretty floral doily bunting. It's a favourite of ours and is now happily back in our children's section at our online shop... Miss Rose Sister Violet online Store!

It's so grey and cold here... and today the rain is lashing at the windows and the wind is howling around the house... but our pretty bunting brings day dreams of tea parties in the garden with cups of tea and cup cakes... and the smell of blossom in the air... Spring is just around the corner!

Happy wishes to everyone on this grey wintry day...

Forget-me-nots... and sweet gift wrapping...

This week we've fallen in love all over again with our darling vintage velvet forget-me-not posies...

We've added them to our online store... Miss Rose Sister Violet online Shop..... and just think they're the sweetest. We had to wrap a present for a friend this week... and decided to use our blue forget-me-nots with a touch of glitter! We painted the little centers with clear-drying glue, and then dipped them into delicious sparkly glitter. For something really special (as our friend is truly special to us and an angel in our lives)... we also made a little sparkly posy by gluing diamantes into the center of each flower. (we think we'll repeat this time and time again though... as everyone deserves extra diamantes in their world!!)

We love adding flowers to presents...

We hope you enjoy our little gift wrapping!

Holding court in Versaille

Due to living on the other side of the world, we often have to sadly decline when lavish invitations stream through our letter box from the likes of .... ohhh... Karl Lagerfield... Dior... and Lanvin (to name a few)... dear friends who would love to have us at their fashion shows... but we simply can't be everywhere at the one time... no matter how hard we try. One such fashion show we wish we could attend annually is the 'Chanel Cruise' fashion show... always held in delicious locations and done with such flair and style.

Unfortunately we're left to watch this greatness from afar, through a magical window known as YouTube.

Here is one of our most recent addictions... the 2012/13 fashion show... which features ruffles and bows and fantastic collars and tailored jackets... and other such pretty yumminess. Plus we LOVE the wigs.

Be warned... it's long.... but we think well worth it. Maybe go make a cup of tea first... but keep the lid firmly shut on the biscuit tin. Remember you're about to watch models... and it's not wise to be eating biscuits and sitting in front of the computer in comfy "home clothes" while doing so. (Just a suggestion)

The music is quite "loud", and may not be to everyone's liking.. but you can always turn the volume down...

Anyway, enough from us! Enjoy!
